An emergency cabinet meeting has been scheduled  today at 3.30 P.M in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima, according to a circular issued by the Cabinet Secretary, J. Alam.

The meeting will discuss the issue of absorption of Assistant Professors under Higher Education Department. All the Cabinet Ministers have been requested to attend the meeting, informed the circular.

The meeting is being held against the backdrop of intensified agitation initiated by the Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) and Nagaland Net Qualified Forum (NNQF). The agitation reached the third day as hundreds of aspirants protested outside the Directorate of Higher Education demanding the revocation of regularization order.
