Embarking on a journey of remembrance and celebration, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Field Office Kohima inaugurated a three-day photo exhibition as part of the Independence Day festivities. The exhibition, themed around Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga, Mera Maati Mera Desh, and the nine-year legacy of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan, commenced at Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS) Dimapur.
The photo exhibition vividly portrays iconic personalities and pivotal events of the freedom movement. Moreover, it sheds light on lesser-known heroes of India’s struggle for independence, resonating their remarkable stories and showcasing the accomplishments of the last nine years under Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan initiatives.

Manoj Bhatarcharjee, Principal of PVHSS, graced the inaugural program as the Special Guest. In his address, he paid homage to the stalwarts of India’s freedom movement, recounting their indomitable contributions. Reflecting on the valor of unsung heroes who hailed from every corner of the nation, Bhatarcharjee emphasized the significant role of individuals from the northeast in the fight for freedom.
The event witnessed a rich cultural display, as students and teachers came together to perform patriotic songs, choreography, speeches, and recitations, fostering a spirit of national pride.
In addition to the photo exhibition, the celebration embraced various competitions, including quizzes, extempore speeches, and painting contests. The winners of these competitions were felicitated during the program, acknowledging their talents and dedication.
As the exhibition unfolds over the next three days, it encapsulated the essence of India’s journey towards freedom and progress, and the fervour of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and honouring the transformative initiatives of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan.
