Centre releases Rs 673 crore to Nagaland as 3rd instalment of tax devolution

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh receives highest share of Rs 21,218 crore

Central Government has released Rs 673 crore to Nagaland as part of tax devolution.

The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, on Monday had announced the release of the 3rd instalment of tax devolution amounting to Rs 1,18,280 crore as against normal monthly devolution of Rs 59,140 crore.

The ministry informed that one advance instalment in addition to the regular instalment due in June 2023 is being released to States to enable them to speed up capital spending, finance their development/ welfare related expenditure and also to make available resources for priority projects/ schemes.

Uttar Pradesh received the highest share of Rs 21,218 crore with Bihar following with Rs 11,897 crore. Goa received the least share with Rs 457 crore, just two crore lesser than Sikkim.
