Chang orgs mourn demise of Kejong Chang; educational institutions under Chang jurisdiction to remain closed on 21 Feb

The Chang Khulei Setshang (Chang Tribal Council) has expressed sadness over the passing of Kejong Chang, Former Nagaland Minister and MLA. In a condolence message, the CKS stated that it mourns the demise of the late Kejong Chang with “heavy hearts and the flags half mast.”

“Our Towering Leader and an exemplary legend, Leiyeibou maibou! Do keep Chang Corrunity in your prayers for blessings from heaven above,” CKS stated in its message.

Meanwhile, the Chang Wedoshi Sestang (Chang Students’ Conference) has notified that as a mark to pay homage and tribute to the former Minister, MLA and Treasurer to CWS (2005-10), all the educational institutions (Private and Government) under Chang jurisdiction would remain closed on 21 February 2025. However, Students appearing their exams shall be exempted, it informed.

Further, the CWS has directed all its Federating Units to hoist the flag in half-mast manner in their respective office/building to honour the death of the beloved leader.
