The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) conducted an inspection of the Medical Superintendent’s office in Tuensang on June 5.
In a press release, the student body said that during the course of inspection, it was observed that the several staff have been consistently irregular in discharges their duties. The errant staff include Mhasikhotuo (UDA),
Alitemjen Longkumer (UDA), C Akhum (typist), Tokheli Assumi (LDA), and Chingyem (carpentry). The student body stated that the prolonged absenteeism of said staff has not only disrupted administrative operations but has also severely hampered the delivery of essential services to the public.
“In light of these findings, the Conference hereby mandates that all the aforementioned staff to report to their respective posting place on or before 21 June 2025. Non-compliance within the stipulated timeframe will invite appropriate disciplinary measures as deemed fit,” the organisation warned.

Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of the public, the tribal student body emphasized that public service is a responsibility that must be carried out with integrity, dedication, and accountability.
To ensure that such lapses do not recur, the conference cautioned that it will be conducting random surprise inspections at all the government established institutions from time to time as per its standing resolution so as to monitor staff attendance, service delivery, and overall institutional performance.
“This step is being taken in the larger interest of public welfare, transparency, and accountability in governance,” the student body added.
