The final matches of the Lt C Kocherao Kithan Football Running Trophy and Women’s Volleyball Tournament 2023 took place at Old Changsu Village Football Ground in Wokha district on Monday. Blue Raiders Football Club lifted the 32nd Lt C Kocherao Kithan Running Trophy while Changsu Women’s Volleyball Team emerged as winner of 2nd Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

Lt. C. Kocherao Kithan, Running Trophy is one of the oldest running football tournaments in Wokha district which is organised by Oasis Club, Old Changsu Village. The event sees one of the greatest turn outs of all events in the district.

Blue Raiders FC won the final match against Boom FC with a score of 3-1 goals and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with running trophy and the Runner Up received Rs 10,000 along with Running Trophy.

In the Women’s Volleyball Tournament is organised in memory of late Ethungbeni Enny. In the final match, Changsu Women’s Volleyball Team beat Mortal Women’s Volleyball Team. The winning team received cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with running trophy, 2nd runner up with Rs 5000 and 3rd runner up with Rs 2000.

Dr Pithungo Kikon and his wife Zanboni, proprietors of Olive Clinic Wokha sponsored the winning cash prize for both winner and runner up while the trophy for the women’s volleyball was sponsored by the family of Lt Ethungbeni Enny’s Family.
