Chargers FC held its jersey dedicatory program on October 11 at the Conference Hall, Circuit House, Mokokchung in preparation for its maiden participation in the upcoming Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) tournament.

Bengdangtemsu, CDPO, Longkhim Town, Department of Social Welfare, graced the event as the special invitee and unveiled the club’s official jerseys. In his address, he encouraged the players to raise their standards in skills of playing the game and remain dedicated to improving their skills. Referring to the prestigious Dr. T. Ao Trophy, he remarked that Ao players still have much to learn and prepare for, urging the team to build on its achievements with hard work, determination, and continuous self-improvement.

Chargers FC was formed in 2022 which began as a futsal club in Mokokchung, earning several titles in local futsal competitions. This year marks the club’s first appearance in the MDFA tournament as it makes its entry into football, with a vision to promote and nurture local football talent from Mokokchung.

The event was organized by the Management Team of Chargers FC and featured a brief introduction on the club’s history, followed by a testimony shared by one of the player.

Chargers FC unveiled two jerseys — one sponsored by ATMA, Department Mokokchung, and the other by two partner entrepreneurs who are set to launch a business in Mokokchung soon.
