Chessore Town celebrates combined Teachers’ Day

Chessore (Shamator): MO lauds teachers posted in remote areas for sacrificing modern facilities to shape students’ lives

A Combined Teacher’s Day was celebrated in public ground, Chessore Town on 5th September 2024 comprising of St. Christopher School (SCS), Sangto Christian School (SCHS), GPS Chessore Town, GPS Assor, GPS Kiumehean Khel, GMS Chessore-A and GMS Chessore-B.

In his speech, Medical Officer, Dr. Kümriming, PHC Chessore said that it is a day to pay tribute to the teachers across the country for their noble service. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the teachers who are especially posted in remote areas, where they sacrifice all the modern facilities for the sake of their profession in shaping the lives of the students to produce future leaders of the society. He also thanked the program organisers for giving him the opportunity to celebrate the day with the teachers and students, and he was optimistic that the teachers of Chessore would make huge difference in shaping the children’s future where we depend upon them tomorrow.

The event featured poem reciting by Hankhumla of GMS Chessore-A; “Dear Teachers” a tribute by Daniel Lunso of SCS; special number by Lünshikhum and Sorila of SCHS, and Benjamin & friends from GMS-B, Chessore; dance by Lünyinla and friends from St. Christopher School and poem reciting by Yanshila of GPS, Chessore Town were the highlights of the programme.

The programme was led by Kamjila and Sorito of Sangto Christian School, Chessore village, while the invocation and introductory note was delivered by Rev. Dr. David K. Tithong.
