The Monthly Head of Departments Meeting of offices under Chiephobozou Sub- Division was held on July 10 at DB’s Court ADC Office, Chiephobozou, Kohima.

Highlighting the departmental activities on Preventing of Sexual Harassment (POSH), Sr. Supervisor, Social Welfare Department, Vilakienuo emphasised that the policy is designed to create a safe and respectful environment for all the employees, particularly working women by preventing and addressing sexual harassment.

She mentioned that the policy provides a mechanism for employees to report incidents of sexual harassment and ensures that these complaints are investigated and addressed fairly, which was under the Social Welfare Department have been  primarily overseen by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. She informed that Internal Complains Committee (ICC) including presiding officer, employee members and external committee members from non-governmental organisations have submitted the committee’s names to ADC, Chiephobozou.

While presenting departmental activities on non biodegradable waste, Sedevilie Suohu, SDO (PHED), said that Plastic storage units were provided in each village where plastic wastes are collected and then shifted to the plastic segregation unit at Botsa, and Boiling Machine at Chiephobozou under the construction of SBM works are all on the verge of completion.

The meeting was chaired by ADC Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, where he discussed with the members on monsoon preparedness and other various issues. He also welcomed Fr. Richard Fernandes, Don Bosco School Chiephobozou; Vilakienuo, Sr. Supervisor (Social Welfare Department); Avibu Mepfuo, Sr. Supervisor (Social welfare department); Visato Sakhrie, JE (Construction division PWD) and Sedevilie Suohu, SDO (PHED) for their presences.
