Organized by Meraki Entertainment Nagaland, the Miss Kiphire pageant 2022 took place after a gap of 15 years, during the ceremony, Chingkela T Sangtam was crowned the winner at Kiphire Local Ground on 17 September.

The newly crowned Miss Kiphire also won the subtitle ‘Best Model’ during the ceremony.

Pisala A Sangtam and Azila V Sangtam were crowned the first and second runners up, respectively.

Other subtitle winners include Seola Sangtam – ‘Viewers’ Choice’ and ‘Best Ramp Walk’, Leishnao Tikhir – ‘Miss Personality’, Azila Sangtam – ‘Miss Popularity’, Thingpila Sangtam – ‘Best Ethnic Wear’ and ‘Miss Multimedia’.

The Ceremony was hosted by Imnasenla Rachel and C Tsase Annar. The judges for the event were Lovi Awomi, VLCC Miss India Nagaland, also the showstopper for the event, Likhumla Sangtam, former organizer Miss Kiphire and Longtise Sangtam, winner Naga Next Top Model 2014.

Kyupise Sangtam Traders Cell Convenor BJP, Nagaland was the special guest with performances from Moko Koza, and Dreamz Unlimited.

Sangtam speaking at the event stated Kiphire is known as the ‘land of minerals’ but he encouraged people of Kiphire to have a mindset to make Kiphire a land of ‘Fashion & Possibilities’. He further expressed gratitude to the organizers who have worked hard to bring back Miss Kiphire after a gap of 15 years. Stating that it is very encouraging and exciting to hear from the participants, who have all shared their dreams to be social workers and entrepreneurs, Sangtam wished them the very best for their future endeavours.

Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, Lovi Awomi shared that she had a wonderful first visit to Kiphire and hopes to visit again. Her message to all the contestants is that the crown doesn’t define oneself and that she believes all contestants are queens in their own way.

Dreamz Unlimited shared their joy of doing the show in Kiphire, and added that they felt more loved seeing the huge crowd cheering them on.

Moko Koza, speaking about his first show in Kiphire, expressed humility seeing the hospitality and love from the people.
