Chokri Area Mothers Association condemns murder of woman by husband in Phek district, demands justice

Phek: CAMA affirms that it stands in solidarity against domestic violence

The Chokri Area Mothers’ Association has condemned the brutal murder of Rüchüvolü by her husband, Sepratso Venyo (35) of Thüvopisü Village, Phek district and demanded that the authorities ensure that the accused is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The Association stated that the community has been left in shock and mourning by the heinous act of violence against the victim on 31st May 2024. “As an association dedicated to the welfare and safety of all individuals, especially women and children, we cannot remain silent in the face of such brutality,” CAMA President Nüvotalü Kezo and General Secretary Vethitolü Theluo stated.

While extending its heartfelt condolences to Rüchüvolü’s family and friends, the Chokri Area Mothers’ Association has demanded for swift and decisive action from authorities to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent of the law

“Justice must be served to honor her memory and send a clear message against domestic violence,” the Association asserted.

Further, the Chokri Area Mothers’ Association affirmed that it stands in solidarity against domestic violence and is committed to spreading awareness and creating a safer environment for all women.
