The Tsütuonuomia Students’ Union (TSU) organized its 6th Annual Literary Day cum HSLC & HSSLC Felicitation on Saturday at T Khel Government Middle School in Rüzie, Kohima Village. T Neingusalie Zatsu, Deputy Director, Department of Social Welfare graced the opening program as the special guest.

Zatsu, in his speech, urged the students to carefully consider their career choices. He emphasized that by choosing the right career path, they have the potential to become torchbearers and contribute to creating a brighter future for society as a whole. He encouraged the students to explore their interests, strengths, and passions when making career decisions. Zatsu advised them to consider their talents and abilities and align them with their chosen field. By pursuing careers that align with your strengths and interests, you will not only enhance your own personal growth and fulfilment but also contribute positively to society, he said.
He also highlighted the importance of aligning their career choices with the current and future needs of the society and urged the students to explore emerging industries and fields that have significant impacts on society, such as technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and environmental conservation.
Furthermore, he advised the students to stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in their chosen industries. By continuously learning and upskilling themselves, they can stay competitive in the job market and make meaningful contributions to their respective fields, Zatsu said.
Later at the Valedictory Program on the Literary Day, the Guest of Honour was K Neibou Sekhose, Chairman, T Khel.
The ‘Best Matriculate 2023’ award, in memory of Lt. Er. Ruokuobiezo Solo and Dr Theyiephrezo Khimiao, to Neiseinuo Suohu, D/o Dr Selhounyü Suohu, merit list no 7 who secured 97.65% in the recent HSLC examination.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by president, TSU, Mhasisetuo Solo, invocation by Associate Pastor, Christian Revival Church, Rokabozou, Keduolhoulie Solo.
T Khel song was presented by Vivonuo Belho while special number was delivered by TSU Cultural Troupe. Vice president, Dziesevizo Suohu pronounced the vote of thanks. The day’s program culminated with benediction by Seyiekhrietuo Sekhose, Deacon, Khedi Baptist Kehou.
The competitions of the Literary Day including solo singing competition, painting, sketching, spelling bee, elocution, debate and quiz etc were held.
