The District Level Social Audit Public Hearing under MGNREGS & DRDA Dimapur was held today at DC’s Conference Hall, Chümoukedima.
A DIPR report informed that the meeting was chaired by the project officer of DRDA Dimapur, Narola Imkong.
She thanked the Social Audit Team for taking the time to conduct the Social Audit in the villages for transparency and requested the villages to heed the advice and suggestions of the team for development of the villages.
State Resource Person SAU, Nagaland, Vepo Keyho, informed that 7 villages under Chümoukedima Block, 17 villages under Kuhuboto Block and 6 villages under Aghunaqa Blocks were audited during the last phase of the Social Audit.
He mentioned that the Social Audit Unit was established in the year 2014 for accountability and transparency of all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes of all the departments besides MGNREGA scheme under Rural Development Department.
Keyho further informed that the Social Audit is being held regularly to review the process of audit being held in the village level which is later uploaded in the government website.
Detailed village wise findings, related issues, action taken reports and resolutions were also presented by the VRPs/BRPs/DRPs.

The Board also reaffirmed the Gram Sabha Resolutions and resolved to maintain detail Transparency Board for all the executed projects as per the specification of Ministry guidelines to
1) Organize Rozgar Diwas on a regular basis,
2) Update Job Cards with all the necessary details,
3) Maintain three phase photographs for all the executed projects.
The Board also noted the mismatched amount between MIS and Block Office sanction and resolved to take necessary action to rectify the error.
The recovery of Rs 160,515 for Kuhuboto Block (Pishikhu, Kushoto, Luzheto, Kuhoto, Nishevi, Lukuto) and Chumukedima Block (7 Mile, Khriezephe, Sodzulhou, Diphupar, Kirha, Selouphe and Toluvi) was submitted in cash by the concerned resource person to the chairperson at the meeting.
According to the DIPR report, with regard to the recovery for other villages, the Board gave time till the end of January 2023 for the amount to be deposited to the concerned official.
The report further stated that rectification with regard to the mismatch of amount in MIS and Social Audit finding had been submitted by officials of Kuhuboto Block for Pishikhu, Padala, Phuhoto and Lukuto village during the Public Hearing.
In addition, the Proper Transparency Board for the project work – Approach Road (2308006001/RC/25684) – under Nizheto village was given a 14 day-time period to install a concrete Board.
