Chümoukedima DPDB meeting: Advisor Zhaleo Rio encourage members to highlight activities, success stories

Chümoukedima: House deliberates on up-gradation of GHS Sovima to GHSS

The monthly Chümoukedima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, at DPDB Conference Hall, Chumoukedima on 10th September, 2024.

The meeting commenced with an introduction of new members and deliberated last meeting review. At the meeting, Advisor, Zhaleo Rio welcomed the new DC and hoped that under his leadership, Chümoukedima district will flourish and take it to greater heights. He said that DPDB meeting is for the development and implementation of the projects, so he requested all to participate in deliberation and discussion during meetings. He also appealed to all the members to highlight about their activities, targets and success stories of their achievements during meetings.

Agendas deliberated were opening of school, where the board members discussed and recommended for approval of the following Schools: St. Mary School, Singrijan; A. Aspostolic Mission Residential School, Chümoukedima; New Ebenezer School, Naga United Village. The agenda of Government primary School at Melongmem Village was deferred to the next meeting. Society registration of Shiheli Old Age Home at Ganesh Nagar Village; Frolic Club, Medziphema; Two Wheeler Taxi Association; North East Institute of Social Sciences & Research (NEISSR), 7 Mile Chümoukedima were taken up at the meeting. After discussion, Frolic Club, Medziphema was approved and the rest will be taken up in the next meeting after proper verification.

Other agendas deliberated included proposal for creation of DEO post; proposal for downgrading of Government Middle School Piphema Bazar to Government Primary School; up-gradation of Government High School, Sovima to Government High Secondary School; setting up committee for Unity Gate; Scheme for PM Shri were approved, while recognition of Lhokheto Village under Dhansiripar sub division, Chümoukedima is deferred to the next meeting.
