Chümoukedima DPDB meeting approves upgradation and registration of educational institutions

The Chümoukedima District Planning and Development Board convened its monthly meeting on February 12, at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Chümoukedima. Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, and ADC, Chümoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, presided over the session, informed DIPR.

Zhaleo Rio extended a warm welcome to the members and expressed optimism for enhanced dedication and hard work in the new year. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts towards departmental targets and individual contributions for community welfare. Rio suggested that all departments formulate a yearly action plan for village activities and schemes.

Highlighting Nagaland’s burgeoning landscape of associations and unions, Chairman Rio urged authorities to ensure the authenticity of society registrations and upgrades. He stressed the necessity for personal verification visits to the locations. Attendance at the monthly DPDB meeting was underscored as crucial for collective action planning for community welfare.

The meeting welcomed a new member and reviewed minutes from the previous session. The upgradation of GMS, Kukidolong Village, received approval for recommendation. However, the registration of the Two Wheeler Taxi Association was deferred for further consultation. Discussions also centered on changing the school nomenclature for Highland Hall Higher Secondary School and GMS, Kozabe Village, both receiving approval for recommendation.

Approval and recommendation were also granted for the society registration of United Theological College and Seminary, Seitheke Basa.
