In collaboration with the District Election Office, Chümoukedima, the department of Education, St. Joseph University (SJU) organised a marathon race for clean election-cum-cancer awareness to mark World Cancer Day on 4 February in Chümoukedima.
The marathon race started from 7th mile junction and culminated at SJU campus with about 250 students and teachers from SJU participating, a DIPR report informed.
The marathon race was organised to promote the cause of clean and fair elections to the public and also to promote awareness of cancer as a public health issue.
Public Relations Officer, Fr. L Anish flagged off the marathon race.
Kaikho Boniface emerged as the winner, while Rukuvisal Jedediah Rhetso and Pekiye T Achumi secured the runners-up respectively.
