The 4th Triennial Conference of the Chuchuyimlang Kaketshir Telongjem (Chuchuyimlang Students Union) commenced at Chuchuyimlang Village, Mokokchung, on January 10 under the theme “Created to Create: Kingdom Stewards.” The conference will conclude on January 12, 2026.

The inaugural programme was attended by Nuklutoshi, MLA, Government of Nagaland, as the chief guest, while Senti Ao, IAS (Retd.), served as the theme speaker.

Addressing the gathering, Nuklutoshi called upon the youth to adopt a progressive and refined mindset as they lead the 15th generation of Chuchuyimlang. He stated that while certain traditions may remain unchanged, adaptation is necessary to remain relevant in a changing world. He emphasised that no individual is inherently superior or inferior, and cautioned against jealousy, describing it as a factor that hampers both personal development and collective progress.

The MLA further stressed the importance of respect and mutual understanding, urging the youth to cultivate gratitude and address issues related to low self-esteem and inferiority complex through self-confidence and self-motivation. He encouraged young people to move beyond their comfort zones, uphold the dignity of labour, and acquire skills that support self-sustenance and self-reliance. Concluding his address, Nuklutoshi exhorted the youth to live out Christian values in both belief and practice, encouraging regular reading of the Bible as a source of guidance and knowledge.

Speaking on the conference theme, Senti Ao, IAS (Retd.), said that creativity is inherent to human beings, describing it as part of God’s design. He explained that stewardship begins within the family structure, emphasising the roles of marriage, parenthood, and raising children with values grounded in the fear of God. He noted that love and service towards others form the core of responsible stewardship.
