Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio along with a host of MLAs and civil society organisations have extended their condolences on the demise of C Phanglou Chang, father of P Bashangmongba Chang, minister for Housing and Mechanical. Phanglou Chang passed away in the early hours of June 20 from his residence at Tuensang town. He was 95.

In a condolence message to the minister, CM Rio expressed sadness to learn about the demise of his father after a prolonged illness.

“On behalf of the Government of Nagaland and my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. Your father’s enduring strength and quiet resilience will always be remembered. May the Almighty grant you and your loved ones the strength to bear this profound loss, and may his soul rest in eternal peace,” Rio stated.

Organisations and public leaders including the Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF), MLAs C Kipili Sangtam, H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Benjamin Yepthomi, 53 A/C Mandal Tuensang Sadar-1 and Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town have also expressed their sorrow over the passing of C Phanglou Chang.
