CM Rio inaugurates five major projects in Piphema

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated five projects in Piphema under Chümoukedima district.

The Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated five major projects in Piphema under Chümoukedima district – Piphema Old Village Traditional Gate, Childrens’ Park, Farmers’ Market, Primary Health Centre and Cultural Hall.

Addressing the gathering, Rio appreciated the people of Piphema, saying that peace and unity brings all round development. It is a sign of unity that five major developments have become a reality and have been inaugurated on the same day, he added.

The chief minister maintained that when the government gives money for development but there is no unity and peace among the community, development hardly takes place. With this, he called upon all Nagas to maintain peace and unity for all round development.

On entrepreneurship, he said the government department felicitates projects but work should be done by entrepreneurs with proper plan of structural mapping.

Rio inaugurating the Farmers’ Market.

Rio also called upon the people to avail the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme which was launched recently.  Under the scheme the people of the state will have an assurance of better access to healthcare services. He appealed to all the beneficiaries to enrol themselves on the online enrolment portal.

He also said both the NNPG and the NSCN (IM) had signed a peace agreement and that henceforth they should work together in peace to bring a solution.

A short speech was delivered by Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd), Advisor Sericulture, Excise and Minority affairs.

Advisor Medo Yhokha, Zale Neikha and MLA Keneizhakho also attended the function.

The event was held at the Cultural Hall, Piphema organised by Piphema Khenu Krüta Krotho. Invocation prayer was pronounced by Keneitsolie Keyho, Executive Secretary CBCC followed by introductory remarks delivered by Y Kikheto Sema, IAS Agriculture Production Commissioner.

Earlier, during the traditional gate inauguration, the function was led by Kughaho Achumi, M & E Expert, Nagaland Forest Management Project Divisional Management Unit, Dimapur while Keneilhoukholie Kuotsu, Pastor, Piphema Bawe Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.

The inauguration of Farmers’ Market & Childrens’ Park was led by Kevin Solo, SDAO while Diethosie, Pastor, CRC Piphema-A invoked God’s blessing.

The inauguration of Primary Health Centre was led by Dr Imotemjen, CMO Dimapur while Vikedozo Kimho, general secretary, Chakhroma CRC Sub-Council invoked God’s blessings.

The event witnessed a folk song presented by Piphema Bawe and a special song by Piphema Christian Khriesarüü Krotho.

The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Zhato Kimho, Advisor Piphema Khenu Krüta Kehou (PKKK) followed by an inaugural feast.
