Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has on Saturday written to Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on the removal of examination centres for NEET-PG from Nagaland by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), just days ahead of the test.
In his letter, CM Rio stated that earlier, the candidates could conveniently appear the entrance test from the centres in Kohima and Dimapur but the new arrangement “places a significant burden on the candidates, many of whom now face the added challenges and expenses of traveling to other states to sit for the examination.”
“This situation is especially concerning given the geographical and logistical difficulties associated with travel from Nagaland, which could potentially hinder the candidates’ ability to perform well in the examination,” the Chief Minister added.
In light of these circumstances, Rio request the Union Minister’s intervention in reallocating examination centres in Kohima and Dimapur for the NEET-PG Examination which he said “will greatly alleviate the hardships faced by the candidates and ensure equitable access to examination facilities.”
