CM’s Health Insurance Scheme to be launched on 14 Oct

Kohima: CMHIS will give free and cashless benefits to every bonafide citizen of the State for treatment of various ailments

The Department of Health & Family Welfare has informed today that the State Government will be launching the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) with the aim to provide free and cashless benefits to every bonafide citizen of the State for treatment of various ailments.

CMHIS will cover all the Indigenous and Permanent residents of the State including State government employees and pensioners, legislators/ex-legislators and their dependents, who are not beneficiaries under AB PM-JAY or any public-funded insurance scheme. The beneficiary families will be entitled to free health insurance coverage of up to five lakh rupees per family per year.

In the official statement, the department has invited all AHoDs, HoD & Government Officials, representatives of Nagaland Pensioners Association, CANSSEA, NCSA, NSSA and other Associations; Civil Societies, Church and Faith Based Organizations and Community Leaders as well as Ex-Parliamentarians and Ex-Legislators to the CMHIS launching programme.

The programme will be held at State Banquet Hall, Chief Minister’s Residential Complex Kohima at 11am on 14 October.
