The inauguration of coffee washing station, funded by North East Council (NEC), was held at Naga Tribal Coffee, near High Court Tsiesema, Kohima on March 15 with Advisor, Land Resources, G. Ikuto Zhimomi as the special guest, informed DIPR.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Advisor, G. Ikuto Zhimomi highlighted the need to start businesses from small startups into big business. He mentioned that the coffee business startups do not necessarily need to have a plantation. He had mentioned nine largest cofefe entrepreneurs in the state out of which only two entrepreneurs have their own plantations. He also mentioned the success achieved by Nagaland coffee in the global market.

He pointed out the market value will be around Rs. 236 crores few years down the line once all the plantations achieve harvesting stage and called upon the young educated unemployment people to take up these businesses with seriousness.
The programme was chaired by Director Land Resources Department, Albert Ngullie, while vote of thanks was delivered by P. O, V. Vikugha Sema.
