Dimapur: CP expresses concern on lives being lost due to reckless driving

Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie, IPS held an interaction with public leaders of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland today at CP Conference Hall, Dimapur.

He said that so long as the society exist, crime will also exist and to solve the social problems such as drug trafficking, extortion, illegal taxation, liquor adulteration and ILP issues which are all collective responsibility and should jointly solve the problem and urge the public leaders to give timely information to the Police department for timely action, stated a press release from the DIPR.

The commissioner requested the public leaders to organize awareness programme on various social evils on their respective colonies and villages and also reminded GBs and village Council to be more sensitive while issuing PRC to the outsiders.

Reckless driving specially two-wheeler riders on the highways is costing many lives in the district, the CP stated.

DCP Niuland, ADCP Dimapur, ADC Chümoukedima, GBs and various CSO leaders also expressed their views on various problems that the society is facing today.
