In a significant move to enhance legal awareness and community engagement, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has called upon various administrative sub-divisions and municipal bodies to actively participate in the State Mega Legal Services Camp to be held on 12th April 2025, at the NBCC Convention Hall, Kohima.
Set to run from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the event will witness the presence of Judges from the Supreme Court of India, the Minister of State for Law & Justice, and Judges from the Gauhati High Court. The initiative is part of a larger effort to strengthen grassroots legal empowerment.
The circular outlines that Chiephobozou sub-division should mobilize at least 40 participants, including Gaon Buras, Village Council and Town Council members, youth and women’s organisations, and VDB Management Committee members.

Secü Zubza and Jakhama sub-divisions have each been allocated a quota of 30 participants with similar representation. Kohima Sadar has been instructed to send two separate groups—one consisting of at least 50 members from Village Councils, Youth and Women Organisations, and VDB Management Committees, and another group comprising all Pas to DCs, Dobashis, and Gaon Buras.
Kohima Municipality has also been urged to ensure full participation from all councillors, ward functionaries, youth, and women’s organisations.
