Community Effort in Mokokchung’s Majakong Ward Leads to Construction of Classroom and Kitchen at GPS Medical Colony,

Mokokchung: Modern facilities brought to life under auspices of Majakong Ward Yimden

With the unity and determination of the community, a new classroom and kitchen were unveiled August 14 at the Government Primary School in Medical Colony, Majakong Ward, Mokokchung. The inauguration ceremony, led by Majakong Ward Chairman Marchiba Imchen, saw the culmination of efforts by the School Management Committee (SMC), teachers, and well-wishers.

Reverend P. Chuba Jamir, Associate Pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA), offered a dedicatory prayer for the newly inaugurated facilities.  The Majakong Ward Chairman expressed heartfelt gratitude to the SMC for spearheading the construction project, which was supported entirely by the local community without any government assistance.

The Chairman hailed the project as an exemplary achievement, showcasing the power of collective action and commitment. He emphasized the role of teachers in shaping the future and urged them to continue imparting quality education to nurture outstanding students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Majakong SMC Chairman, Sashimeren, SMC Secretary & GPS Medical Colony Teacher In-charge Imnasenla R, and Repabenba GB lauded the collaborative efforts that brought the classroom and kitchen to fruition.

These modern facilities were brought to life under the auspices of Majakong Ward Yimden, with significant contributions from dedicated teachers serving at GPS Medical Colony and other generous well-wishers.
