Police Station-I & II Mokokchung successfully organised a two-day Community Outreach Program on 24th and 25th August 2023 to enhance cooperation and collaboration between law enforcement and the community. The event aimed to bolster the joint efforts in addressing critical issues such as drug addiction, smuggling, cyber safety, protection of children and women, theft, and drunken driving.

With the objective of fostering a strong working relationship between the police and the public, the programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of community leaders, including wards chairmen and other members. These local leaders played a pivotal role in the dialogue by sharing their valuable insights and experiences on various concerns affecting the region.
The interactive sessions saw the police department shedding light on effective strategies to combat crime, ensuring the safety and security of all residents. Simultaneously, Mokokchung Police officers sought the cooperation of the community in preventing and detecting criminal activities, thus contributing to the overall peace and tranquillity of the district.
The event emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in curbing challenges like drug peddling, cyber threats, and safeguarding vulnerable groups, particularly women and children in the Mokokchung District.
