The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie,IPS has issued a travel advisory on May 28 informing commuters not to travel between Dimapur and Piphema – Kohima during night hours till further notice.

“In the interest of public safety, travel advisory is hereby issued; in view of incessant heavy rainfall and thunderstorm under Kohima District, travelers are advised not to commute between Dimapur and Piphema – Kohima during night hours/till further notice,” stated Sophie.
