The Public Grievances Department, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has today released a number of allegations on several development projects in Minister Temjen Imna Along’s Constituency Alongtaki 30 AC.
A press statement issued Meshenlo Kath, Co-Chairman, PGD-NPCC and Esther Therie, Secretary PGD-NPCC has sought clarification and investigation on the incomplete and nil progress in the construction of waiting sheds, multipurpose hall, roads, and healthcare centre in Alongtaki Constituency.
According to the PGD NPCC, with regard to the construction of a waiting shed at Alongtaki Village under Japukong (LADP 2019-2020), an amount 15 lakhs was approved by SDPDB and verification committee members issued completion certificate. “The Public Grievances Department seeks clarification from the Administration heads of Alongtaki as to why completion certificates are being issued where no works are being initiated. The PGD will not tolerate any such fraudulent activities and demands for investigation,” stated the PGD.
On the construction of link road at Japukong, an amount of 13.2 lakhs was approved and sanction by SDPDB, claimed the PGD. Another 7.5 lakhs was approved and sanctioned by SDPDB on the construction of a waiting shed.
“The link road has not been initiated so far and waiting Shed is non-existent. The PGD demands for immediate verification by the Alongtaki Administration and execution of the work as per the amount sanctioned,” asserted the PGD.

Further, at Lakhuni the Ministry of Tribal affairs allotted an amount of 1,00,00,000 (One Crore) for the construction of Multipurpose hall at Lakhuni where 30 percent (30Lakhs) of the fund has been withdrawn, according to an RTI reply.
On the construction of an internal road at Longchem EAC HQ, the PGD has alleged that the amount allocated for the work was 50 lakhs by Tribal affairs, whereby an RTI report indicated that 30 percent (15Lakhs) of the amount been withdrawn.
According to the PGD, an amount of 40 lakhs was allocated for the construction of Health centre at Alongtaki, where an RTI report showed 30 percent (12Lakhs) withdrawn.
“Even after withdrawal of 30% amount from the above listed projects the ground reality of work progress remains nil. Therefore PGD reminds the following firms M/S ZENITH ENTERPRISE and SKYLINE ENTERPRISE to start the work at earliest,” demanded the PGD team.
