The Lotha Hoho has said that content creator ‘The Roving Naga’ has hurt the sentiments of the Lotha people by naming his puppy “Tokhu” after its most revered festival.

In a Notification issued on 16th November, LH Chairman Er, Mhondamo Ovung and General Secretary Tsupon Murry appreciated response from the content creator whose video titled “What Happened at Tokhu Emong” is being questioned by the Hoho for displaying scenes that presents a wrong depiction of the festival.

It has been notified that the content creator, in his clarification, “does not refute his claim that all items actually happened on the ground at the venue of Tokhu Emong, Wokha 2024” and that “there was no Instruction or Direction, prohibiting photography or videography”, which the Lotha Hoho acknowledged.

However, the organisation has stated that “the main item that has hurt the sentiments of the Lotha people is the naming of his dog, as “Tokhu” and condemned the content creator for using the term “lightly and insensibly” and urged him to take “necessary action towards the said video at his disposal”.

“… if any issue comes up in future, relating to this video, the LH will not be responsible; but Roving Naga will be fully answerable,” it added.
