A coordination meeting with the Heads of Offices under Tening sub-division, Peren was conducted in the office chamber of ADC Tening on June 27 with Chairperson, EAC, Ihoilung Chuilo.
The agenda for the meeting included planning for Advisor Kudecho Khamo and MLA Namri Nchang’s impending visits to inaugurate the New ADC Complex and Higher Secondary block, GHSS Tening.
During the meeting, the RFO emphasized the difficulties government officials were facing because of the limited supply of water. In response, the SDO PHED announced that the town’s water supply projects would soon start under the AMRUT scheme. To guarantee a priority supply to government-designated areas Heads of offices were asked to coordinate with the department.
Additionally, SDHO emphasized that the department’s lack of land prevented it from building an office and asked that land be set aside for the purpose. The chairman acknowledged the issue and promised that the matter would be looked into.

Furthermore, the Principal, GHSS Tening brought to light two operational issues, the lack of teachers in the high school, middle school and primary sections, and difficulties with the availability of elective courses.
In this respect, the principal was requested to write a comprehensive letter outlining these concerns, which would then be forwarded to the District Planning Board.
The logistical difficulties of transporting question papers and attending to the everyday needs of the public were discussed, given Tening’s designation as an exam centre for the NBSE Board exam. After more consideration, it was agreed that the issue would be brought before the District Planning and Development Board for any necessary action.
Additionally, the chair urged the Heads of Offices to make sure their offices continue to be operational and functional.
The meeting was concluded by a vote of thanks delivered by the Chairperson.
