Coordination meetings are currently being held in various parts of the State to prepare and allocate tasks for the upcoming Independence Day Celebration on August 15.

Pughoboto

The Pughoboto SDPDB held a meeting on August 1, at DB Hall, Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pughoboto, to discuss preparations and work distribution for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, informed a DIPR report.

Parade contingents for the Independence Day viz. 8 NAP Battalion, GHSS Pughoboto, New Foundation School and Mission School are to commence Parade rehearsal from 5th August 2024. All Govt. Offices and Educational institutions shall hoist the National Flag from 6:00 AM on the day while all business establishments shall remain closed during Independence Day Program which shall be overseen by Head DB for strict compliance.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the House entrusted E.E PWD (R&B) with the clearance of blocked drainage & maintenance of Roads in Pughoboto Sub-Division. The need for Establishment of Economic and Statistical Office at Pughoboto was discussed and recommended to the Government for necessary action. As highlighted by the Functional Manager of Sub-District Industries Center (Sub-DIC) on the dilapidated condition of the respective Sub-DIC office building at Pughoboto, the board recommended for renovation of the office. Additionally, the Committee for Inauguration of New Administrative Complex and SBI Office was setup.

A new member Junior Engineer (JE) Power, Siezevituo Rutsa was introduced to the house. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of MLA & Chairman SDPDB Dr. Sukhato A Sema and Co-Chaired by ADC and Vice-Chairman SDPDB, Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang and concluded with vote of thanks from the chair.

Bhandari

A Preparatory cum Co-ordination meeting of all head of offices under the Bhandari sub division was held at the conference hall of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari on August 2, informed DIPR.

Hyperlin

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhandari, Longdiba L.Sangtam, NCS who chaired the meeting, lauded the officers for their pro- active role in rendering diligent services to the public.

He also reviewed the successful exercise of the Campaign, “Safai Apnao Bimari Bhagao” within the Bhandari sub-division which was launched in the previous month. The ADC also said that the same campaign has helped to mobilize the public to conduct cleanliness drive in the villages and town areas in order to prepare for monsoon period and also to step up effort to contain and prevent breakout of Malaria, Dengue and other related diseases, given the hot and humid climatic condition of the sub-division.

As part of preparatory for the upcoming Independence day celebration 2024, the house deliberated and resolved to carry out mass social and repairing work at the Public Sports Ground, Bhandari town, the venue for Independence Day.

In this regard, work distribution was done and departments were entrusted with assignments to carry out on a given time. Members also highlighted on the progress and activities carried out by the respective departments.

Chiephobozou

In view of the ensuing Independence Day Celebration, ADC, Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, NCS had a Coordination Meeting with all Heads of Departments on August 2 at DB’s Courts Chiephobozou Town. Work distribution and other logistic arrangements assigned to various departments were confirmed during the meeting.

ADC requested all department officials to coordinate and execute their respective assigned duties effectively for the successful conduct of the Independence Day Celebration. He also requested all the Department Officials to attend the function positively.

Longleng

In view of upcoming 78th Independence Day to be celebrated in Longleng, the District Administration, Longleng had a coordination meeting with the HoD for preparation and work distribution at DPDB hall, Longleng on 2nd August 2024.

The meeting begins with a self-introduction by the members. Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, W. Mampai Phom entrusted different task to all the departments and requested them to actively participate in their assign work. The house has also decided to put up stalls during the celebration of Independent day.

The house also resolved to have a mass Social work in and around Longleng town on August 10. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by DC, Longleng.
