The CPO 2 lane Committee from Kohima to Jessami Road has expressed deep anguish over the total negligence at package 2 by NHIDCL and the Ratna company for not initiating works.
“It is observed that NHIDCL is not serious enough to tackle the core issue as to why the construction at package 2 has been delayed despite of multiple pressures and requests. It is further state that the Committee is dissatisfied and oppose over to central ministry for further extension of the project for Ratna company despite of its complete failure and noncompliance to its terms and conditions causing huge obstruction and complications,” stated the Committee in a press release issued by Wepe Mekrisuh, Convenor and Kesilo Tsido, Secretary.
In this regard, it has directed the NHIDCL to take the full responsibility for not taking action against the Ratna company despite “the several complaints and recommendations for termination for its total negligence to execute the allotted work”.

“It is very unfortunate and painful to express that the so called Ratna company despite of many promises and assurances on the table to work diligently and committed to deliver quality road on time had failed miserably causing public in deep commotion taking public for a ride. It is to state that as to why NHIDCL was adamant in not releasing the payment dues to Ratna company which they said they have completed 11% hence duly recommended by PMG so as to continue the work projects,” stated the Committee.
It also questioned the NHIDCL for awarding the work orders to irresponsible company which has caused a stumbling block for public development.
“Lastly, we warned the NHIDCL and EPC Contractors to comply with the maintenance and speed up the work projects without further delay before the falls of monsoon season failing which the public will have no option but to take its own course of actions,” warned the Committee.
