The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) today announced that the upcoming Sökrönye Festival, the vibrant Chakhesang tribal festival, is scheduled to take place on the January 15, 2024. This year’s Sokronye will be hosted by the three villages of Khomi at Middle Khomi Local Ground (Khalutü). This celebration promises to be a joyous occasion, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Chakhesang community, informed CPO.
The apex organization also informed that the 42nd CPO General Session will be held on January 24 at Chizami village. This session, according to CPO, will serve as a platform for discussions on crucial matters concerning the Chakhesang community, providing an opportunity for unity and collaboration.
In this regard, all the Chakhesang areas and villages has been directed not to coincide any events on January 15 and 24.

A press release Issued by Vezuhu Keyho, CPO President and Chepetso Kozax General Secretary has invited all members of the Chakhesang community to join in these significant events.
“Let us come together to celebrate our cultural identity at the Sökrönye Festival and actively participate in shaping the future of our community during the 42nd CPO General Session,” stated the CPO.
