A review meeting for the ongoing Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP-JICA) between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) officials and the chief secretary Nagaland Dr J Alam was held on Thursday at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Room.
The meeting focused on reviewing the Nagaland Forest Management Project- Japan International Cooperation Agency (NFMP-JICA) project’s progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring its sustainable implementation across the state, said an update from DIPR.
The meeting also addressed the challenges of maintaining the project’s momentum in convergence with other departments and SHGs for better implementation of the project at the district level.

The JICA team, comprising of Ishikawa Saya, a representative of JICA and Sushma Sen Adarshi, development specialist, apprised the chief secretary about the progress of the ongoing JICA projects and also highlighted the various challenges faced during implementation.
