The Chakhesang Students’ Union had issued an ultimatum on October 16, 2024, regarding the deplorable condition of the Kohima-Jessami road, specifically the Chakhabama-Kikruma stretch under Package-II. “Unfortunately, our demands remain unfulfilled within the stipulated time. During our site visit on October 19, 2024, we found the repair and maintenance work executed to be unsatisfactory and far below our expectation,” stated the Union.

The CSU also warned that if these issues remain unaddressed, it will be compelled to initiate further action against both the implementing agency and the Contractor.
