The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has submitted a representation to the Governor of Nagaland on March 4, appealing for his intervention regarding the timely completion of Kohima to Jessami road (Package 2) with proper machinery and quality workmanship.

The Union had earlier submitted a representation to Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for MORTH, on February 27, highlighting concerns in delays, lack of proper machinery, and substandard workmanship affecting the project.

“This vital road infrastructure holds immense significance for the people of the region, ensuring better connectivity, economic growth, and overall development. However, the ongoing delay and the reported quality issues have caused immense hardships to commuters and residents alike,” stated the Union in their representation. Given the urgency of the matter, the CSU requested the Governor to take up the issue with Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, and urge immediate intervention for the following:
