CTAN, NNQF serves fresh ultimatum to govt; demands action on requisition by July 12

The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) and the Nagaland NET Qualified Forum (NNQF) on Monday issued a fresh ultimatum to the state government for immediate requisition of all assistant professors and librarian posts filled on contract after June 6, 2016. The state government’s office memorandum of June 6, 2016 imposes a ban on contractual appointments.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary on June 9, the two bodies stated that the state cabinet’s revocation of government order of December 17, 2024 which regularises the contractual appointment of 147 assistant professor and librarian posts had made them hopeful for requisition of those posts at the earliest.

“Yet to our disappointment no response has been received from the HPC/Government till date,” the letter said.

In this regard, the CTAN and NNQF demanded immediate action on the matter by July 12, after which, they stated the two bodies will not be held responsible for any democratic actions taken.
