CWS initiates construction of makeshift classrooms for GHSS Tuensang

The proposed construction of NECTAR Lighthouse at GHSS Tuensang has resulted in dismantling of Classroom buildings whereby teaching-learning environment has been affected due to lack of accomodation.

NECTAR Project has provided innovative strategies to enhance teaching-learning systems , strengthening school management across the rural and urban areas as well as promoting Community ownership and accountability which is the basis of an ever changing dynamic society.

Aligning with these needs and to provide condusive learning environment to the students, the Chang Wedoshi Setshang(Chang Students’ Conference) along with the help of 15 Ward Union of Tuensang Town, the Union of Chang Villages in Tuensang Town has voluntarily initiated the construction of 10 temporary classrooms for the students studying at Government Hr.Sec School, Tuensang, taking into account that students are not affected in their academic career till the completion of proposed project.

This noble cause has been necessitated as per the Nagaland Communitisation of Public Institutions & Services Act of 2022, which empowers  the local authorities to strengthen education system, community participation, ownership and management of public resources and assets.

The CWS further urged community to lend their support and uphold in prayers.
