After days of agitation, a breakthrough has finally emerged in the Sao Chang College issue with the Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) temporarily suspending its second phase of agitation
The suspension comes following Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along’s assurance on the deployment of a Principal at Sao Chang College by November 15. “Regarding college bus, the matter is under process and one bus will be provided meantime the remaining will be taken up,” said Along in a statement. The Minister further requested the Chang Wedoshi Setshang for a Consultative Meeting on October 20 at 2.00 pm in his office Chamber to discuss the various issues demanded by the CWS. Besides the deployment of Principal and college bus, Along stated, “The rest of the remaining issues we will discuss in the Consultative meeting.” Further requesting the CWS to attend the meeting positively in order to solve the problems at the earliest.
