In a bid to tackle the surging cases of cybercrime and financial fraud, DEF Tuensang conducted an enlightening Cyber Security and Financial Fraud Awareness Program at the Town Hall Tuensang. The event aimed to educate the community about the various forms of cyber threats and equip them with the knowledge to protect themselves from potential scams.
Putiyanger ASI from the Cyber Crime Cell was a prominent speaker at the program. He shed light on the alarming rise of cybercrime and underscored the importance of staying informed about prevalent cyber threats. Among the well-known cyber-crimes discussed were Cyber Stalking, Credit Fraud, Identity Theft, Investment Scams, Online Loan App Scams, and more. Emphasizing that cybercrime is a highly organized activity, he urged everyone to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities without hesitation.

The program witnessed the participation of police personnel and representatives from various Government Offices in Tuensang. The event was chaired by Chilliam Khiam ASI, who ensured a seamless flow of discussions and interactions during the session.
