DAJGUA campaign launched across Nagaland

Awareness campaign and benefit saturation camps under the Union Ministry of Tribal Affair’s “Dharti Aabha Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan” were launched across different districts in Nagaland.

Kuda village, Dimapur:

In Kuda village under Dimapur district, the campaign was conducted at Kuda Village Community Hall on July 19. The initiative aims to bring government schemes and welfare benefits to the doorstep of tribal communities, ensuring last-mile delivery and empowerment at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, EAC Imli Wapang highlighted the government’s commitment to uplifting tribal villages through saturation of benefits, increased awareness, and community-driven progress. He urged citizens to take full advantage of the services offered and spread awareness within their own wards and colonies.

The camp witnessed active participation from various government departments and local leaders, with services ranging from Aadhaar enrolment, health check-ups, pension registration, PMAY-G, and awareness drives on key social welfare schemes.

Chepoketa, Phek:

Similar campaign was launched at Chepoketa Village Council Hall, under Phek sadar on June 19, where village authorities and public from four villages, Mutale, Khutsokuno, Tehephu and Chepoketa villagers participated.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek Rhosietho Nguori delivered keynote address where he stressed the intention of the government for the upliftment of the tribal people in the country, then requested the key departments officers from the district administration, Medical, Rural Development, Agriculture, Food and Civil Supplies and SBI bankers to do the needful through which would benefit the villagers according to schemes that are launched for them.

Superintendent of Polic Phek Dr. Pritpal Kaur speaking as the special guest at the programme, encouraged the villagers gathered there to fully cooperate with the concerned key departments and take the opportunities of the schemes under DAJGUA without fail.

EAC Phek Imnasenla Walling as nodal officer of the launching schemes, chaired the programme. Pastor Chepoketa Baptist Church, offered invocation prayer of the programme.

Shamator:

Along with the rest of the nation, Shamator district administration also launched a campaign of awareness and benefit saturation activities under DAJGUA on June 18 at DC’s office Shamator.

DC Shamator Chubatemjen briefly highlighted the importance of the campaign under Ministry of Tribal Affairs with the aim to fully benefit the tribal people.

The meeting was attended by all the heads of offices and it was agreed to coordinate efforts for Aadhaar Enrolment, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan, Jan Dhan Yojana, and other Welfare Schemes.

Tuensang:

In Tuensang, the second day of the campaign was held at Chingmei village on June 19 in the presence of SDO (C) Kihomong Yimkhiung, EACs Shekhozo Vero and Er. Vinoh Swu along with officials from various line departments, banks and post office.

The campaign covered three villages namely Chingmei, Chendang and Waoshu. Altogether 10 departments participated programme with an aim to spread awareness and provide saturation of services such as Indira Gandhi Old Age Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme, PMMVY, PM Kisan, Kisan Credit Cards, Ration Card, CMHIS/ Ayushman Bharat Registration and Card Generation, MNREGA, CMMFI Loans, Jan Dhan Accounts, Mudra Loan, IPPB, PM Vishwakarma Registration, Aadhaar Enrolment, ST/ Indigenous/ PRC certificates.

Akuluto, Zunheboto:

In Zunheboto district, the campaign was held at Town Hall, Akuluto on June 19.

The participants included GBs of Akuluto Town, Maromi, Sumi settsu, Alaphumi, Lumami, Lumithsami, and Sutemi village.

The interactions began with the district administration in regards to Aadhaar enrolment/ ST/ IIC and PRC forms, Medical Aayushman Bharat immunization, PM Kishan, Job Card, Nutrition, Ration card registration. It was then followed by as session on Financial Literacy by State Bank of India.

The program was chaired by EAC, V.K, Zunheboto, Viketoulie Metha and the host of dignitaries attended the program.
