Power supply was restored at Daklane Ward No. 7 on Sunday evening after a transformer damaged on the midnight of September 24 was replaced by the Power Department.

The Kohima Electrical Division, led by Executive Engineer Er Shiludi Longkumer, SDO Er Nuthozo Hoshi, JE Simon Belho, and their team, transported and installed a 500 kV transformer from Dimapur despite adverse weather and road conditions.

Meanwhile, expressing gratitude, the Daklane Council and residents lauded the officers and staff for their sacrifice and commitment, describing their efforts as “truly commendable.”

The Council also urged residents to bear with the phased restoration process as the transformer undergoes testing.
