The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has appealed to all citizens of Nagaland to cooperate with the police for a “safe and better Nagaland”.
In a press release, DAYO mentioned that its representatives had a “fruitful and meaningful discussion” with Nagaland’s Director General of Police, IPS on 27 June 2023 at the Police HQ at Kohima where the DGP highlighted the new initiatives to address crime detection/report to check extortion, drugs trafficking and other crimes through the participation of the citizen.

While congratulating the Sharma on the new position, DAYO stated that policing and maintaining law and order cannot be successful without the participation of the public. The organisation reaffirmed its cooperation with the Police Department in addressing problems of criminal activities, especially the menace of rampant extortion and drug trafficking.
“Furthermore, DAYO will put in its best efforts with other like minded social organisations and youth organisations for community policing to ensure that rule of law is respected and followed in our state,” it stated.
