Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), Bhandari has emerged as the Champion of the Open Basketball Tournament organised by the 45 Assam Rifles E Coy at the DBHSS, Bhandari, Wokha district from 11 to 16 July 2023, DIPR informed.

DBHSS defeated Net Rippers team in the final and walked away with a cash prize of Rs.20,000 besides certificates and a trophy, while Net Rippers, the runners-up team, were awarded Rs.5000.

Maj Rajat Yadav, giving away prizes, encouraged the nine participating teams and the youth to come together to build good habits, create a positive outlook, and learn to face challenges with skill and confidence through sporting events for a healthy and productive life.

According to the report, the Village Council members, public leaders, and the general public also lauded and acknowledged the 45 Assam Rifles for giving a healthy platform to the youth of the area.
