The DC and DEO of Longleng has informed that the second phase training of the following polling personnel viz. Presiding Officers, First Polling Officer, Second Polling Officer, Third Polling Officer and MTS is scheduled on April 8 and 9.

Polling Personnel stationed in and around Longleng town may choose to attend the training at Bautung GHSS, Longleng on April 8, at 9:30 am. Polling Personnel stationed in and around Tamlu Sub-Division may choose to attend the training at ADC Office, Tamlu, on April 9 at 10:00 AM. Further, polling personnel who are yet to apply for EDC have been informed to bring a photocopy of EPIC Card/ Govt. Service ID card and two (2) recent passport size photographs for availing Election Duty Certificate (EDC) & Election ID card.

The notification has also directed all the concerned Head of Departments and Nodal Officers to inform their respective officials/staff requisitioned for election duty regarding the training schedule. Strict action shall be initiated against absentees & defaulters as per Section 134 of The Representation of the People Act, 1951.
