DC Chumoukedima, Polan John along with other officials conducted site inspection and area familiarisation at river bed mining area of Chathe River and its tributaries at New Socunoma on October 31. The DC also had a detailed assessment of the status of riverbed mining at Chathe River.

Later, the DC and his team also inspected the ongoing railway over bridge at the New Socunoma to review the progress and quality of work. Similar inspections were also conducted at Tzhuma Bridge and New Chumoukedima Bridge.
