In view of the ensuing Nagaland Assembly Election, a joint coordination meeting was held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Karbi Anglong, Assam on 19 December at 3pm.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong and Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Nagaland.

The two deputy commissioners welcomed all the members present and highlighted the agenda of the meeting in view of the ensuing Assembly Election.

The DCP (Headquarter) Dimapur highlighted the security arrangement for the upcoming General Assembly Election 2023 and requested the SP of Karbi Anglong for security assistance as and when required. The SP assured all possible help to the police officials during the election period.

The Dimapur Deputy Commissioner also discussed liquor prohibition in the state and requested assistance from Karbi Anglong for assistance regarding checking on the smuggling of liquor in the Dimapur district.

He further highlighted to the house various agendas so as to ensure a free and fair election in the State.
