DC Kiphire launches ‘Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyaan’, an initiative to transform schools to ‘Nurture the Future’

Kiphire: Project aims to transform schools into Inspirational Schools

The “Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyaan: Nurture the Future”, an initiative of the Kiphire DPDB and brain child of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS, was launched at DPDB hall, Kiphire on 12th September 2024.

Under this scheme a seven months pilot scheme has been planned where officers of the district have been clubbed into two clusters, as per the two Assembly Constituencies of the district.  The Abhiyaan will be supervised by the Deputy Commissioner and overseen by the Superintendent of Police. The clusters will be led by the ADC, Kiphire and the ADC, Pungro for 60 A/C Cluster and ADC, Seyochung and SDO (C) for 59 A/C Cluster.

The two clusters have a team of officers clubbed up to work together to adopt school(s) in the jurisdiction, undertake activities during the pilot phase which will culminate in February 2025, the time when the academic session will begin, and the Model Schools, which the clusters have developed will be formed for the Abhiyaan, during which each officers will have to adopt one school in the district.

The Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyaan is aimed to handhold the schools to grow and develop, and to be the engines to “Nurture the Future” of the society. The objective of the project is to transform the schools into “Prerna Pathshalas” (Inspirational Schools).

The Deputy Commissioner has urged all the officers to work hand in hand to make the school grow and develop to a model school in the district by providing quality education to the students, and at the same time to check the performance of the faculties, and the infrastructures of the schools in the district.
