The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Kohima has cautioned against selling or buying of government acquired land at Lerie and New Kohima College Area and said that those who indulge in this illegal business will be doing so at their own risk.

“Unauthorised transfer of Government acquired land is illegal liable to penal action under relevant section of law,”stated the notification that was issued on Sunday.

The DC also advised the public to promptly report any such dubious land transaction in Kohima to the authority at revenue.de.kohima@gmail.com.
