Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, B Henok Buchem has issued a notice order authorizing several officers as Executive Magistrates in their respective jurisdictions for issuing ‘Order on Delayed Registration of Births and Deaths’.

In pursuance of the Department of Economics & Statistics, Government of Nagaland’s Notification, the following officers have been designated as Executive Magistrates:

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chiephobozou for Chiephobozou Sub-division; Sub-Divisional Officer (C) Jakhama for Jakhama Sub-division; Sub-Divisional Officer (C) Sechü-Zubza for Sechü-Zubza Sub-division; Sub-Divisional Officer (C) HQ, Kohima for Kohima HQ; Sub-Divisional Officer (C) Sadar for Kohima Sadar; Extra Assistant Commissioner, Kezocha for Kezocha Sub-division; Extra Assistant Commissioner (Dev.), Kohima for Kohima HQ; and Extra Assistant Commissioner, Botsa for Botsa Sub-division.

The Executive Magistrates shall issue the order only in the prescribed format after completing the verification process as per the notified guidelines and provisions under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (as amended in 2023) and the Nagaland Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment Rules), 2024.
